What's Next?

First off I'd like to thank all of you for a truly amazing year here at Bean's Bytes; 2012 certainly was a success! With the launch of Accountant and the constant addition of new features added to iScan. 2013 will hopefully be an even bigger year for us as we have some new great ideas in the pipeline!

iScan still remains our most popular application. As some of you know we updated iScan Lite to the newest version of iScan 4.5. Sense it's launch just a little over a weak ago, it’s broken download records here at Bean’s Bytes. However, because iScan Lite is free, our revenue for iScan still remains the same. This is a little troubling while at the same time, I'm very happy it's getting in customers hands. I released iScan Lite again for this very reason, to get it out to more users. Customers are not to blame for bad revenue, the ads are. However, there’s a reason for getting iScan in more users hands besides money and getting Bean’s Bytes name out there. It’s to get feedback from you. I want to hear from users who downloaded either version. I want to hear what you like, what you don't like, what you want to see in later updates, and what feeds you'd like to be added. There's way too many counties in America for me to add each one myself, so I rely on you users to say "Hey you're missing my county". It's no problem for me to add a county to the app! It makes the app better for you, and future listeners. So please don't hesitate to contact me, I promise I won’t bite.

Secondly, Bean's Bytes also released a brand new application this year it's called Accountant. Accountant was built as an idea that occurred to me on a spring day, as I was checking out. I couldn't remember how much money I had in my bank account, and also didn't want to spend to much on shopping, cause I do have bills to pay. So I built accountant. Accountant is an easy way to track your money, without being asked annoying questions like "Where did you spend this" or "Is this Entertainment, Gas, Clothes, Groceries, etc" you get the idea! When you’re checking out I don't have time for all of this. You just need a simply open the app, do what I need to do and get out application, and move on with you’re day. I made Accountant free and tossed some ads in, hoping that everyone can find it as useful as I do. So what's next for it in 2013? A big update, this update will be huge, and adds some really useful new features. While adding all of these new features, I also made sure to not impose on the simplicity of the app; so I'm making sure you could still quickly use it.
